ENCON Evaporators, a leader in wastewater management solutions, announced today that it is making available its white paper �The Missing Piece: Utilizing Evaporation Technology to Dewater RO Reject Wastewater.� The white paper addresses a common problem in the wastewater industry; what to do with reject waters from Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems?

Reverse Osmosis reject often has high salinity making it prohibitive for discharge to the local sewer facility and expensive to have hauled awaaway. The white paper discusses the advantages of evaporation in general, as well as the differences between Thermal Evaporators and Mechanical Vapor Compression (MVC) Evaporators.

Also discussed are the technical details of RO reject water chemistry as well as estimated volume reduction percentages. A cost effective Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) solution that features evaporation at its core is also presented. -
