Typical Slurry Dryer Installation
Installation of the ENCON Liquid Slurry Dryer can be handled by facilities, maintenance, or plant engineering personnel, or an electrical/mechanical contractor. Utility and facility requirements include: 480V-3PH power supply, natural gas/propane for thermal oil heater, compressed air supply for pneumatic valves and air actuated pumps, and stainless steel stack to outside of building for vapor exhaust. The stack is typically installed vertically through the ceiling but can also be run at a 45 degree angle to a nearby wall then vertically up the side of a building.
Power supply is run to the aux panel. All system components such as control panels, PLC/HMI, thermocouple, level probes, mixing paddle, thermal oil recirculation pump, temperature controller, cycle timer, and blower, are pre-wired and tested at the factory.
Slurry or sludges can be fed from a pump or gravity fed to the Liquid Slurry Dryer system through a standpipe inlet or hatch depending on application.
